Colona Transfer L.P. is situated at the 23.5-mile marker on the Ohio River at the most northern dock and is 24 miles west of Pittsburgh allowing us to offer our services to the dry bulk commodity markets of the Northeast.
Our railroads are serviced by CSX Transportation, Inc and conveniently located across from the CSX Aliquippa yard which includes two rail car offloading stations.
Our harbor includes over 4,000 feet that can accommodate standard, stumbo, and jumbo sized barges. Our high-speed barge cable system, overhead crane, and multiple large excavators ensure barges will be offloaded in a timely manner. We even have a tugboat on staff 24/7 for your convenience.
We also have a variety of trucking options but specialize in flat beds, dump trucks, and trailiers due to the nature of dry bulk commodities. Our trucks are serviced by McClymonds Supply & Transit Co., who own and operate over 300 trucks.
Storage is easy with all of our different storage/warehousing options. Our facilities include blacktop and concrete pads that offer of 60,000 sp. ft. of dry storage.
