Federal Firearms began as Small Arms Manufacturing in 1958 in Presto Pennsylvania by Jerry Taucher. Small Arms Manufacturing was a barrel factory providing its services to local areas. It was in 1967 that Jerry and his associates began as a wholesaler and moved to a retail locations naming it Federal Firearms Co. Inc.
After that, Federal Firearms Co. Inc became a distributor for industry leaders including Remington, Ithica, Savage, Redfield, and more! It was in 1974 that Jerry decided to buy out his partners, taking over as the sole owner of the company. He created it become a retail store as well as a repair center for all major brands. As of today, Federal Firearms is still family owned and sells used and new firearms along with gunsmith services in South Hills.
