Goetz Contracting did a wonderful job with our deck and partial roof project. Mike worked with us to help make some decisions on the style of the deck and made some great recommendations. He went the extra effort to find materials to match with the colors we selected and we’re beyond happy with the results. We now have a beautiful deck that we will thoroughly enjoy during all seasons. The crew was great, worked hard, cleaned up each day so we could still use our yard with our dogs, were respectful of our property and went the extra mile for us. I would definitely recommend Goetz Contracting and will engage them myself for any future projects.
Let me qualify my review. I’m skeptical by nature and cynical from experience. I worked construction for 10 years. Then owned retail businesses for years. I know quality from garbage and hard work from slacking.
To best measure the quality of our Geotz deck I waited a year to submit our review. I’m delighted to say our new Trex deck remains beautiful & superbly built. Geotz Contracting owner Michael Geotz is one of the finest contractors I’ve had the privilege to work with. The quality of work from start to finish was first rate. Communication was excellent, schedule was on time, entire crew was courteous, kind and skilled. Michael promised me- “I won’t leave this job until you’re satisfiedâ€. Usually such talk is BS. But upon completion there was one thing I wanted changed. A change beyond the scope of my contract. Nevertheless Michael made the change right away at no additional cost. He’s a man of his word. Our deck is one story up on the rear of the house. Walking on the old wood deck made it shake. The railing posts were poorly supported and too far apart. The railing had a top rail, but no bottom rail. Balusters were nailed to the outside joist. It was dangerous. The old deck caused water to leak into our basement. Our new deck is unbelievably sturdy.
The railing posts are boxed into the joists below the deck and reinforced with multiple rugged mechanical fasteners. Leaning against railings couldn’t be safer. Railing posts are encased in a perfectly color coordinated Trex material. Posts also have built in lighting. Railings have a proper upper and lower rail with elegant balusters.
Geotz Contracting flashed the house watertight, completely eliminating the old leaks. We are 100% satisfied customers. I know Geotz Contracting’s calendar fills up quickly. I recommend contacting Michael ASAP so you can enjoy your new deck this Summer. A big “Thank You†to all the folks at Geotz Contracting.
Goetz Contracting is an excellent company to work with. Mike and his team are courteous, clean, and hard working. The crew was a pleasure to have at our home. Our new porch with Trex decking is beautiful! Mike always answers calls promptly. Would definitely hire them for any project!
